INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the city’s northeast side Sunday afternoon to the report of a barricaded subject.

Authorities arrived to a residence on the 500 block of North Hamilton Avenue where a subject was barricaded in the home. The man was wanted for a shots fired investigation in a different location.

Dispatchers say the suspect was armed.

The SWAT team was called to the residence to assist.

The suspect came out of the home and turned himself in peacefully around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported.
