INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A SWAT situation ended Friday with police leaving the scene empty handed.
Indianapolis Metro Police were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Jason Smith, a known violent felon, when the situation started.
Police say Smith was thought to be holed up inside the home with a woman in the 1200 block of South Moreland. The SWAT team sent in a robot to survey the situation and discovered the home was empty.
Police say Smith was wanted on gun and meth related charges.
