INDIANAPOLIS, IN.(WISH) - One of the main attractions at the Indiana State Fair is the pig barn.
"I wanted the boys to see the largest pig," said Jane Walters who is a fair visitor.
On Monday afternoon there were plenty of empty cages inside the pig barn.
Last week several pigs developed fevers above 105 degrees.
Those hogs were sent home.
"One pig gets it from one pig," said State Health Commissioner Dr. Gregory Larkin.
The Centers for Disease Control says there have been 154-swine flu cases reported across the country.
Almost 80-percent of those cases are in Indiana.
Larkin gave reason for the spike here in Indiana.
"We have more cases reported because we have been more aggressive in communicating the concerns to citizens," said Larkin.
Inside the pig area at the State Fair were plenty of signs reminding visitors to wash their hands, after touching the pigs.
There were also soap dispensers on hand in the main exit area.
This strain of Swine Flu is only transmitted from pigs to human.
According to Dr. Larkin no signs of the virus have been transmitted from person to person.
