INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A 13-year-old girl died Friday when the car she was riding in was hit by a semi on Harding Street near Interstate 70.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say the car, driven by Kyle Bieda, made a left turn in front of the truck when the truck t-boned the car.
Police say the teen, Justice Holifield, was riding with Bieda, a band instructer at Harshman Middle School, and two other teens on their way to pick up supplies for a school event at the time of the accident.
The surviving teens were taken to local hospitals where they were treated and released.
The crash is still under investigation. Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
