INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A fight over two gas lines and their placement under railroad tracks on the northeast side of Indianapolis may shut down the Indiana State Fair Train.
The Hoosier Heritage Port Authority in April issued an order that no trains may run on tracks south of 62nd Street because it says the gas lines were not buried deep enough and may pose a safety hazard.
On Wednesday, a test was held to see if the tracks were safe and if a special one-year exemption for the Fair Train could be made.
Results from the test will be made public late Wednesday evening or Thursday.
