INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Thousands of people were without power Wednesday morning on the west side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Power and Light reported as many as 17,310 customers were without power as of 8:31 a.m. Wednesday.
By 10:30 a.m., IPL officials said electricity had been restored to all customers. View the outage map here .
IPL officials say the outage was a result of an issue at a substation on the northwest side of Indy. Two power lines going into the substation were damaged, but IPL crews were still investigating what caused the damage.
In addition to the thousands who lost electricity, IPL officials say many others experienced lights flickering around 8:15 a.m.
