INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The sound of jingling feet will soon fill the streets of Indianapolis as thousands of runners have signed up for the annual Jingle Bell Run and Walk.

Many runners dress up in holiday costumes for the event and wear bells on their shoes. This year's race is on Saturday and starts at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Proceeds will benefit the Arthritis Foundation. WISH-TV is among the sponsors.

24-Hour News 8 anchor Scott Sander spoke with one of the event's honorees, 9-year-old Ashley Frankel, and her father, Robert. The Noblesville third-grader has been battling juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life. Click to play the video above to hear more about Ashley and the event.
