INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A large tree fell into a home in the 7200 block of Fitch Ave. Tuesday morning, causing part of the attic to collapse.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says Hannah Todd was asleep in her bedroom around 4:30 a.m. when a large portion of a tree came crashing into her room.

The woman was startled, but not injured. She was examined on scene.

IFD responded to the scene and said the home is structurally unsound for anyone to live there right now. Todd will be staying with friends until her home is safe to live in again.

Firefighters are investigating what caused the tree to fall into the home.
