INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a vehicle accident near Meridian Street and 11th Street Sunday that sent two people to the hospital.
The incident happened just after 10 a.m.
Firefighters say a Pontiac G 5 and a Mitsubishi Lancer collided, leaving the driver of the Pontiac trapped in the vehicle.
Officials were able to rescue the man and he was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital. His injuries are not known at this time.
An elementary-age boy in the other vehicle was taken to St. VIncent Hospital to be checked out.
