INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Two people were in stable condition Monday morning after they were shot on the city's west side.

Police say someone rang a couple's doorbell and then shot them both.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at the Aragon Woods Apartments near Crawfordsville Road and Dandy Trail.

According to officers, the couple says a man came to the door looking for someone. The couple says when they told the man that person did not live there, the man opened fire.

Police say the man who lives in the apartment was shot three times, the woman was shot once.

Police say they have not been able to find the suspect.
