INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A new shop opened its doors for the first time, today.
It’s called Veteran's Antiquities and it giving men and women who've served in the military a job they can be proud of.
The shop is on 46th street, just off College Avenue, and sells crafts that have been "up-cycled" by men and women who have served in our armed forces.
They take disposable or discarded items and repurpose them to sell. Some of the items in the shop include birdhouses, mirrors, shadowboxes and wall art.
“Veteran's Antiquities is a vision to employ veterans,” said store owner Jeffrey Piper. “We provide a workshop they can come to, we have wheelchair accessible assembly stations, then we also have what you see here - the retail store.”
They also have an online store .
