INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Warren Township schools have been awarded a $27.5 million grant, part of President Obama’s Race to the Top program.

It’s the first district in Indiana to receive the award from the U.S. Department of Education. The superintendent said when she found about the award, she felt like she had won the lottery.

They’ll use the money to tailor a one-on-one environment for students, make their education a personalized experience. Investments in technology are also planned.

The money will be distributed over the course of four years.
