Wayne Twp. schools get $200,000 donation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Wayne Township Education foundation received a significant donation from a former student of Ben Davis High School.

According to a news release from Wayne Township schools the alumnus donated $200,000 to the education foundation. The donation is the largest the district has ever received from an individual.

Bill Rogers presented the check to the Wayne Township School Foundation during a formal at the school's annual Seniors' Choice Awards.

The foundation will use the money to support programs that improve Ben Davis High School students' college readiness.
