INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for two suspects after an Indianapolis woman told investigators she was abducted at gunpoint, tied up and left in an abandoned house.
The 23-year-old woman told investigators two men pulled a gun on her as she was on her way to her apartment in the 3800 block of Arbor Green Lane, forcing her back into her car and telling her to stay calm and she wouldn’t get hurt. She said they bound her wrists and ankles with zip ties and covered her with a blanket, then drove around for half an hour.
When they stopped and took her out of the car, they put duct tape over her mouth and eyes, then put her into a closet in an abandoned home in the 3200 block of Sutherland Avenue. The men told her they’d come back and release her in two hours and give her belongings back.
She told investigators that she was able to free herself and went to a house in the 3200 block of Guilford Avenue, where the resident allowed her to stay until police arrived.
The suspects are described as black males wearing all black, including black masks. They were both about 6 feet tall with stocky builds, and one may have short dreadlocks.
The victim reported her Hyundai four-door car was stolen, along with her iPhone and credit cards.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous, and information that leads to felony arrest may be eligible for cash reward.
