INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Dirt will fly this afternoon near the baseball field at Arsenal Technical High School.
This afternoon the Super Bowl Host Committee and other city officials will break ground on the Chase near Eastside Legacy Center and the Indianapolis Youth Education Town. It's all part of a $11.2 million revitalization project.
The center is expected to open in January 2012. It will become a major hub for comprehensive fitness, wellness and recreation programs for neighborhood residents and Indianapolis Public Schools students as well as youth development activities.
It will be owned by the John H. Boner Community Center, housed on the campus of Arsenal Technical High School and operated jointly with Indianapolis Public Schools.
