INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Children's Museum of Indianapolis kicked off the "Year of the Snake" Sunday morning with two big announcements.
Next year, the museum will be transformed featuring two blockbuster Chinese exhibits.
The exhibits will include an authentic Chinese experience with the Terra Cotta Warriors: The Emperor's Painted Army and Take Me There: China.
Both are expected to draw thousands to the museum as they won't be seen anywhere else in the world.
“It's a really big deal for us,” said Jeff Pachen, President and CEO of the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “It's real objects and current research about the objects. Being able to share them is part of our international strategy to bring the world to Indianapolis, to children and families, and to create an exhibit that is hands on as is much for adults as for children.”
The museum expects to have more than 100 artifacts in the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit. Some artifacts have never been seen by the public before.
The exhibits are expected to open in May 2014.
