2 armed robberies reported near Ball St

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - Police, faculty, and students are on alert after a two recent armed robberies near the Ball State campus. Police say that they are looking for five men connected with the robberies.

The most recent incident occurred around 3:30 Sunday morning near the Beacon Hill apartments, which are located less than a block from campus. According to police, a Ball State student and his friend were held at gunpoint.

Ball State says that a safety alert was issued immediately following the incident.

“Student safety is out first and foremost priority,” said Kay Bales, Vice President of Student Affairs.
