ELWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - Residents in Elwood are without power Sunday night and authorities are looking for a cause for the outage.

The Madison County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency reported that approximately 3,000 residents were without power.

Madison County dispatchers said they have received a flood of calls from residents reporting the outage.

Authorities say residents in Elwood, Frankton and Orestes were being effected by the outage.

According to Madison County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, the American Electric Power company estimates it will be approximately 1 a.m. before power is restored.
