REYNOLDS, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a 9-year-old old girl has died from injuries she sustained in a northern Indiana crash that also killed her grandparents and older brother.

White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer tells WLFI-TV and the Lafayette Journal & Courier that Erin Longpre of Indianapolis died Friday night at a Lafayette hospital.

Police say the crash also killed 67-year-old Ronald Longpre of Mancelona, Mich.; his wife, 62-year-old Sandra Longpre; and 13-year-old John Longpre II of Indianapolis.

Eleven-year-old Brandon Longpre of Indianapolis was in critical condition Saturday at Riley Hospital for Children.

Authorities say the car went left of center and sideswiped one pickup before crashing head-on into a second pickup. The crash occurred about a mile east of Reynolds and 75 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

The crash closed U.S. 24 several hours.
