ANDERSON, Ind. (The Herald Bulletin) - An Anderson police officer has been named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for his actions in a summer 2012 shootout.
Anderson Police Department’s patrol officer Matthew Guthrie was recognized for responding to a July shootout that left an innocent bystander and police dog dead , and officers wounded, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
