ELWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - Prosecutors are still considering charges for four juveniles arrested in connection with a massive fire in Elwood last week, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Herald Bulletin reports , but at least one of the teens could be charged as an adult.
Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings told the newspaper he had asked the judge at a juvenile hearing for another week to review the charges. He noted prosecutors have 10 days to file formal charges, and they were considering charging one of the teens as an adult.
The four teen suspects in the blaze at the vacant building that once housed State Plating range in age from 13 to 17, and Elwood Mayor Ron Arnold's son is among them.
