MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - An autopsy shows an eastern Indiana woman who was trapped in an overturned car submerged in a Muncie pond drowned.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn tells The Star Press ( http:// tspne.ws/ HvAvj6 ) that he won't be able to determine the official cause of death for 28-year-old Heather Padilla of New Castle until toxicology tests are completed in a few weeks. Authorities are still trying to determine why the car ended up in Fudd's Lake on Monday morning.

Padilla, 28, was pronounced dead 1:30 p.m. Monday , more than three hours after she was pulled from the lake.

Twenty-eight-year-old David Kline of New Castle was able to escape the car and alert some nearby people who called 911. Police said the two lived together.
