The bus driver, Theresa Mast, 56, Kokomo, was taken to a hospital, where doctors determined her blood alcohol level was .20, according to police.
Mast was arrested and taken to the Howard County Criminal Justice Center on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony, according to police.
The student-athletes and coaches were transferred to another bus and made it to their sporting event safely.
No one was injured during this incident and all parents were notified.
