C. Ind. man allegedly stole $60K from pastor

FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana man faces forgery and theft charges for allegedly stealing $60,000 from the family of a minister who allowed the man to stay at his mother's vacant home.
Twenty-nine-year-old Adam Klecz of Frankfort was charged in December with 13 felonies, including identity deception, in connection with the case.
The Journal & Courier reports that Alan Downing, a pastor at Jefferson United Methodist Church in Frankfort, allowed Klecz to stay at his mother's Tippecanoe County home in January 2010 because he was down on his luck.
Prosecutors allege Klecz accessed a locked safe in that home and used the Social Security numbers, expired credit cards and other paperwork of Downing's deceased father and ailing mother to open credit card accounts and rack up $60,000 in fraudulent charges.
