ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - After six months of negotiations between C&D Technologies officials and union workers a vote Saturday determined the workers will strike.
This is the second vote in a month where union members have denied the business's offer of wages and insurance premiums. After the first denial union representatives hoped negotiations could continue.
Union representatives say the Communications Workers of America approved the strike for this week.
The official start time of the strike has not been set.
Union representatives hope the strike will encourage more negotiations with C&D Technologies. They said they'll have a full statement on the strike ready by Monday.
