ANDERSON, Ind. (The Herald Bulletin) - A dog in Anderson was rescued Wednesday after falling through a sheet of ice on a pond.

Residents on the 3300 block of Main Street in Anderson saw the chocolate Labrador run out onto the ice after ducks.

The dog got 50 feet from shore when the ice shattered, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.

Rescue crews were able to save the dog and transport to a local veterinarian.
