CUTLER, Ind. (WISH) - Police say they arrested a Cutler man on three felonies that stemmed from an alleged domestic dispute on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lafayette where a 44-year-old woman was being treated for injuries she received Friday night at a home on State Road 75 in Cutler, according to police.

The woman, who was suffering from head injuries and two ruptured ear drums, with possible hearing loss in one ear, said she couldn’t seek medical assistance until the alleged suspect left for work on Saturday.

Police met with the alleged suspect, Kerry J. Wiegand, 45, who confessed to the battery, according to police.

Wiegand was arrested for Aggravated Battery, a Class B Felony and for two counts of confinement resulting in bodily injury, Class C felonies, police reports stated.

Wiegand was taken to the Carroll County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
