Two die in Boone County accident

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A fatal accident at Michigan Road and Greenfield Road just north of Zionsville this morning left two people dead, Boone County officers say.

Boone County officers received a 911 call of a vehicle crash with a car fire at around 5:30 a.m.

The vehicle was heading northbound on Michigan Road when it left the road and struck a utility pole. There were no witnesses at the time of impact, police say.

When emergency vehicles arrived to the scene the car was fully engulfed in flames.

Two people died inside of the vehicle.

Names of the victims have not been identified at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
