LEBANON, Ind. (Lebanon Reporter) - After 30 years at the Lebanon Post Office, Postmaster Peggy Keaton is retiring Tuesday, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner the Lebanon Reporter says.

Keaton is Lebanon’s first woman postmaster. Her 30 year anniversary with the Lebanon Post Office was marked on June 26. She became the postmaster on April 1, 2006.

“My daughter was eight weeks old when I started here,” Keaton said. “She’s now married with a career and two kids.”

Keaton has been a beloved postmaster, her co-workers say.
