Haynes makes $24 mil. investment, adds jobs in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH - A big investment means new jobs for Kokomo.

Haynes International on Monday announced a $24 million investment at their Kokomo manufacturing facility. The company also plans to add 40 new jobs.

"It's a further commitment to Kokomo. I'm always amazed at the innovation that comes out of this area," said Mark Comerford, president and CEO of Haynes.

Haynes, headquartered in Kokomo, is a manufacturer of cobalt- and nickel-based alloys that are shipped worldwide. It currently employs about 800 people in Kokomo.

Haynes also celebrated its 100 year anniversary Monday.
