Head-on crash traps one driver in car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Madison County Sheriff's Department responded to a serious, two-car accident in Madison County Friday night.
Police say the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of CR 1100 north and CR 100 East.
The crash was a two-vehicle, head-on collision at the intersection. One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extracted by a rescue crew, our partners at the Herald Bulletin report.
Police say multiple people were transported to local hospitals via medical helicopter.
