LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WISH) - A semi-trailer carrying hogs toppled over near the US 35 and 24 Dunkirk exchange in Logansport, closing both southbound lanes of US 35.
Officials say the incident occurred after 11 a.m. Friday. A semi driven by 25-year-old Kevin Rentfrow was traveling eastbound on US 35 when it rolled on its side.
It is unknown how many hogs were on the trailer at the time of the accident or how many survived the crash.
Staff from Tyson's Fresh Meats has been called to take care of the hogs. US 35 is currently closed southbound. It is not yet known how long those lanes will be closed.
