MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - Members of a Central Indiana church destroyed last year by a fire that killed a firefighter will honor him with a motorcycle ride and a permanent memorial on the same day their rebuilt church is rededicated.

Members of Muncie HOG chapter 1277 will ride their motorcycles Saturday to the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Muncie during the Scott Davis Memorial Ride.

The church's pastor, who's a member of the motorcycle club, will then lead the riders and church members in dedicating a permanent memorial to Scott Davis, the 40-year-old father of three killed in June 2011 while fighting a fire at the church.

HOG chapter 1277 member Ann Roellig tells The Star Press the church rededication and memorial are "a perfect way to honor Scott's legacy in our community."
