KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - A Kokomo man faces charges that he stole more than $14,000 in metal from the Haynes International North plant.

Indiana State Police arrested Glen Alexander, 50, on charges of theft/receiving stolen property following an investigation.

Troopers say the investigation began with an anonymous email alleging Alexander was stealing molybdenum and nickel from the plant.

An inventory of materials showed that thousands of pounds of the metals were missing.

Investigators say they watched as Alexander loaded the allegedly stolen metals into the bed of his truck. Police believe Alexander sold the metal to a scrap yard in Chicago.

Alexander was being held in the Howard County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
