Kokomo man critical following shooting

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - A Kokomo man is in critical condition after being shot in the head Wednesday night.

Kokomo Police found 64-year-old David Gibson lying in the 300 block of E. Mulberry Street around 7:10 p.m. Officers at the scene reported he had a small wound to his forehead.

Medics rushed Gibson to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment from what they believed was a fall.

Doctors later determined Gibson was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was transferred to St. Vincent Hospital where he remains in extremely critical condition.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses who reported hearing gunshots around 7 p.m.
