Kokomo police investigate 85-year-old's death

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - Lonnie Lewis didn't deviate much from his daily routine. In fact all of his neighbors know his schedule. That's why they found it odd when Lewis didn't leave for church on Sunday morning. Odd enough to sound an alarm.

Instead the blinds in Lewis's house were down, and his car was parked in the driveway. The alert neighbors called his family members, who called police.

Monday, police found the 85-year-old dead in his home in the 1100 block of Miller Street. Police said he suffered several injures that investigators believe may have led to his death.

The Howard County corner has yet to finish an autospy on Lewis, so police are not releasing much about the investigation .

We do know police have not made any arrest in this case; however, Lonnie's neighbors want to know what happened to their friend.

" Lonnie, was a great guy," said neighbor Martha McFarland. "He was good to all the kids in the neighborhood, do anything for any of the neighbors."
