CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Speed may have been behind a fatal crash Monday afternoon in Carroll County.
The Sheriff's office said the one-vehicle wreck happened around 4:20 p.m. on County Road 250 South, west of County Road 300 East.
Deputies said Jackie Schrauben, 22, of Kokomo, was driving west on 250 when she lost control of her car. Investigators said it went off the side of the road and rolled several times.
Schrauben was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said the believe Schrauben was traveling at an unsafe speed for the road surface and was not wearing a seatbelt.
