MONTICELLO, Ind. (WISH) - Conservation Officers arrested a man on Friday night for driving a boat while intoxicated on a lake in Monticello, Ind.
Dillon Meadows, 21, of Saint John, Ind. was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Lake Shafer after officers observed him violating the speed limit.
Meadows was operating a 1995 Bayliner near Indiana Beach when officers stopped him for going 28 miles per hour over the night speed law of 10 miles per hour.
Officers say the boat also did not have the required navigational lights.
While stopping Meadows, Officers observed open alcoholic containers and detected an odor of alcohol on Meadows’ breath.
Meadows failed the sobriety tests given to him and was transported to the White County Jail, officers stated.
