LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WISH) - A Logansport man faces up to 36 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a 4-year-old girl, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Pharos-Tribune reports .
William Roy Wilson, 25, was arrested in May 2010, accused of abducting the girl from her home, then strangling and sexually assaulting her. Friday, he pleaded guilty to child molesting and criminal confinement. He had been set for a bench trial to start Wednesday.
Under the plea deal, Wilson would receive a 40-year sentence, with 36 to be served in prison and four to be served on probation. He would also be required to pay more than $5,000 restitution to cover the victim’s medical bills. His sentencing is set for Jan. 15.
