ELWOOD, Ind. (AP) - The mayor of a central Indiana city is asking residents to pray for his family after his son and three other teenagers were charged with arson after a vacant building caught fire.

The Herald Bulletin reports Ron Arnold, the mayor Elwood, 45 miles northeast of Indianapolis, praised the police chief for the quick arrests following the fire Friday night. He called the arrest of his son devastating.

The mayor's office says a 17 year-old, a 14-year-old and two 13-year-olds were questioned, charged with arson and taken to the Madison County Juvenile Center, where they were to remain until they appear in court.

Elwood Police Chief Sam Hanna has contacted local, state, and federal arson investigators to assist in the fire investigation.
