Nurse could lose license after fraud charges

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - An Anderson nurse could face sanctions and her license could be revoked after accusations of prescription fraud, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Herald Bulletin reports .
A formal licensing complaint was filed Monday with the State Board of Nursing against Paula Bolt, 60, Anderson. She is accused of obtaining and selling narcotics through prescription fraud.
Bolt and her daughter, Kelly Bolt, 41, were arrested in October, and police said the nurse admitted to the scheme, saying the two filed false insurance claims and prescriptions. She was fired from her job at Community Hospital Anderson in October, and her nursing license was suspended for 90 days.
In addition to the licensing complaint, Bolt also stands charged with criminal charges of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or deceit and dealing in a Schedule I, II, III controlled substances.
