ANDERSON, Ind. (Herald Bulletin) - Martin “Skip” Ockomon has been reinstated as a firefighter in Anderson after charges of child molestation against him were dropped for a second time, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner the Herald Bulletin reports.
Ockomon was reinstated as a firefighter with the Anderson Fire Department during a Board of Public Safety meeting on Thursday.
He has been on paid administrative leave since his arrest on Nov. 29, 2011, on allegations that he sexually abused three of his daughters between 1986 and 1998.
Charges were dropped in June but were refilled earlier in Sept. after a grand jury indictment.
Charges were dropped again Sept. 17.
Ockomon was scheduled to return to work Friday.
