MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested 19 people on 23 charges on Ball State University’s campus this weekend.

Ten minors were arrested on Friday on 11 charges, including illegal possession of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and various traffic violations, police say. An adult was also cited for traffic violations.

Eight minors were arrested on 10 charges Saturday on the university’s tailgating area. Charges included illegal possession of alcohol, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

A 20-year-old man was taken to jail for illegal possession of alcohol, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement after he tested a .16 percent blood alcohol content.

Officers working in Muncie this weekend were apart of the Intensified College Enforcement program to reduce underage drinking. The initiative launched at Ball State in February 2012.
