MADISON CO., Ind. (WISH) - Madison County authorities are searching for the suspect who shot and killed a woman in Anderson Saturday morning.
Detectives say around 2:30 a.m. 53-year-old Roy Parmley forced his way into the home of his ex-girlfriend's daughter near County Road 650 west and County Road 100 north. This is in a rural area of Madison County near Lapel.
Reports on Sunday state that people said they saw someone walking around in Anderson that fit Parmley's description, but police did not find him.
Parmley then tied up his ex-girlfriend, Terri Wiles, 53, and her daughter, Amanda Wiles, 31.
Sheriff Ron Richardson says Parmley then shot and killed the daughter in front of her mother.
"She was a sweet heart, everyone loved her and she was just a doll," said the victim's friend Sheila Walker .
Since the shooting the 53-year-old suspect has been on the run.
Neighbors say Wiles' mother recently moved into her daughter's home after breaking up with Parmley.
SWAT teams, K-9's, and a mobile command unit searched the rural area from morning until the afternoon.
Richardson sent crews home just before five o'clock on Saturday.
"Could someone be helping him out absolutely," said Richardson. "We haven't written any possibility out of this scenario."
Police had closed off State Road 32 between County Roads 600 West and 825 West which is near Lapel, Indiana while they searched for the suspect.
Parmley is described as a white male, 5'10, 210 pounds, brown eyes, and brown and gray hair.
Witnesses say he was last seen walking from the residence wearing a black shirt and in possession of two shotguns and a handgun.
Anyone with information on Parmley is urged to call the Madison County Sheriffs Department.
