ALEXANDRIA, Ind. (WISH) - A high-speed police chase that began in Marion ended in a crash in Alexandria Monday morning.
Our partners at the Herald Bulletin report Bobbie Sue Frazier was wanted by Marion police for shoplifting from a local Walmart.
Frazier refused to stop for police and a chase ensued. At the Grant and Madison County line, the woman reached speeds over 100 mph.
Police were forced to place "stop sticks" in the road, puncturing the two front tires of Frazier's 100 Chevy Blazer. But, Frazier's vehicle didn't come to a stop until she hit a propane truck.
She suffered injuries to her hand and right leg and was transported to Elwood's St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.
