LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Lafayette Police Department has identified one man in connection with Saturday night's police chase, which began in Lafayette, and ended with a car crash in Brookston.

Our sister station WLFI reports police have identified the driver of the car as 20-year-old Corey Joseph Kirts of Lafayette.

Kirts was air lifted to a hospital in Indianapolis. Police said his condition does not appear to be life-threatening.

According to police, the mugshot provided of Kirts is from a previous incident.
