KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - Kokomo police are searching a Wabash County landfill in hopes of finding a woman missing since last July, according to our partners at the Kokomo Tribune .
The missing person case involving Kelly Armstrong heated up recently when Kokomo police say Armstrong’s boyfriend, Travis Funke, confessed to police that he killed the woman and dumped her body in a landfill in Wabash County.
No charges have been filed against Funke, because police have not found her body.
Funke remains behind bars on unrelated charges.

Galloway said no information about Funke’s admission had been released prior to Saturday since police have not found Armstrong’s body and have not charged anybody in the case.
However, when Armstrong’s family made statements about the investigation to local media outlets over the weekend, Galloway said Kokomo police decided to release an update about the investigation.
