FRANKFORT, Ind. (WISH) - As Clinton Prairie Schools leaders planned to ride the bus Monday with students who were on board the bus that crashed Friday , information from the investigation into the crash began to trickle out.
Parents were notified of over the weekend, one mother told 24-Hour News 8 sister station WLFI-TV . The principal and vice principal were to ride the bus Monday morning to help allay any concerns, the mother said.
The driver and 27 students were sent to area hospitals after the crash Monday morning, when the No. 5 bus rolled over. The most serious injury was a broken arm. All had been released from local hospitals by Friday afternoon, Clinton Prairie Superintendent Chris Sampson said.
Sampson said the employment status of the driver, who had no major injuries, was pending until the results of the full investigation are released. He said as of Monday morning he had not had any updates from Indiana State Police, who still had the surveillance video from the bus.
ISP told 24-Hour News 8 the bus was found to have no mechanical problems and was last inspected in July.
The crash remains under investigation.
