Searchers find body of missing Purdue student

Sean Matti disappeared Sunday

MONTICELLO, Ind. (WISH) - Authorities have found the body of missing Purdue University student Sean Matti, officials confirmed Tuesday.

Carroll County investigators say they found Matti in Lake Freeman, where he was originally reported missing .

Matti, a native of Shoreview, Minn., was reportedly last seen around 5 p.m. Sunday . He had been partying with friends.

The 22-year-old was a member of Purdue’s football team. Searches looked for him on land and in the lake on Monday. They continued their search efforts Tuesday morning .
