KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - The first victim of a string of shootings over two days in Kokomo has become the second fatality in the case, police said Friday.

David Gibson, 64, was found shot in the head Wednesday evening . Kokomo Police Department confirmed Friday afternoon that he had died.

EMTs initially thought he had been injured in a fall, but medical personnel at St. Joseph Hospital determined he had in fact been shot. He was transferred to St. Vincent Hospital in extremely critical condition.

Argena Williams, 48, who was among three people shot Thursday , died later that night. The other two people were seriously injured, police said.

Police arrested Turama Stitts, 36, on Thursday, and he now faces preliminary charges of murder and attempted murder. Police said the shootings did not appear to be connected .
